STEP 01: DISCOVERY

LET’S GET TO KNOW

EACH OTHER

WHO:

You, Farmore President, Creative Director

WHAT:

Discovery Call & Initial Brainstorming

If you partner with us to share your story with the world, we should know it down to the last detail. The discovery stage is where we’ll get together (virtually or in person) to learn all about you, your brand, and your vision for this project. We’ll also discuss budgets, timelines, and anything else you think we should know about.

HOW:

STEP 02: CONCEPT

WHO:

You, Farmore President, Creative Director

WHAT:

Creative Brief & Treatment

We’ll take everything we learned during discovery and formulate different ideas until we arrive at the perfect solution for your project.

HOW:

GREAT IDEAS ARE SHAPED

Video production concept

We’ll present our ideas for your project in detail before we proceed to ensure at least one of them checks all of your boxes. And if you already have an idea for your video, no problem - you’ll work with our Creative Director to bring it to life.

CREATIVE BRIEF:

Video treatment
Creative brief

We’ll create a video treatment that will summarize your project’s concept and keep everyone on the same page in terms of direction.

TREATMENT:

STEP 03: SCRIPT & STORYBOARD

Video production storyboard.

You, Creative Director, Producer

WHAT:

Well… Scripts & Storyboards!

VISUALIZE YOUR STORY

WHO:

This is where your narrative begins to come together - we’ll put together tools to visualize your story and guide the rest of the production process. Picture video production as a road trip - and this is where we get our map.

HOW:

Script

Most likely, you know what a script is. If not, it is simply a document that outlines all of the dialogue, set directions, and location descriptions for your video- depending on the project.

SCRIPT:

Storyboard

STORYBOARD:

A storyboard is essentially a visual outline of your project. Not quite as specific as a shot list, a storyboard helps all of us begin to envision what the final product will look like by creating a throughline.

STEP 04: PRE-PRODUCTION

START YOUR ENGINES

WHO:

You, Creative Director, Director of Photography, Producer, Project Manager

WHAT:

Casting, Scheduling, Location Scouting

Once the framework for your video is set, we’ll put together the pieces to ensure everything goes off without a hitch when it comes time to film.

HOW:

Shot list

A shot list is similar to a storyboard, but is more concrete in what it entails. It represents the specific shots we need to capture in order to achieve the final concept we envisioned.

SHOT LIST:

Casting
Location scouting
Scheduling

SCOUTING:

Believe it or not, location is everything. Our team will search high and low to find the ideal setting(s) that will truly make your video concept pop.

CASTING:

To find the perfect on-screen representative of your brand, we work with a number of top talent agencies. We’ll source auditions using your video’s script, get your feedback, and pick the perfect person for the job.

There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to scheduling - that’s where our Producer comes in. She’ll handle the logistics of it all, from talent to crew to transportation - she does a lot.

SCHEDULING:

STEP 05: PRODUCTION

LIGHTS, CAMERA…

WHO:

Creative Director, Director of Photography, Producer, PA

WHAT:

Filming, Lighting, Set Design

This is where all that hard work and planning pays off. Our experienced production team will capture every shot from the shot list, ensure every line of the script is read to perfection, and that the whole shoot runs as efficiently as possible. We also film in a way that helps us avoid “fixing it in post,” so that the rest of the process can be just as simple.

HOW:

Farmore Tampa video production crew

Let there be light! Proper lighting is crucial to getting a good shot, and our crew are lighting fanatics. We’ll supply the necessary equipment and utilize industry-standard lighting techniques to shape the light on-set and create the perfect look for your project.

LIGHTING:

Set styling
Audio
Lighting

Just like a model gets dressed for the runway, we must dress the set to make sure it looks its best on camera. This may include acquiring props, setting backgrounds, or just asking a random bystander to get out of the shot. Either way, we’ll ensure every set is picture-perfect.

SET STYLING:

Filming

AUDIO:

Looks aren’t everything - high-quality audio is essential to professional video production. Using a variety of recording devices and techniques, our crew will guarantee your video’s message comes through loud & clear.

Let’s press the big red button! Thanks to our process, this part is easy. Using our scripts & shot lists, we’ll capture every scene we need. Plus, efficient filming even saves time down the line - by shooting everything the right way, we can avoid spending unnecessary time and resources “fixing it in post.”

FILMING:

STEP 06: POST-PRODUCTION

THE FINAL TOUCHES

WHO:

Creative Director, Director of Photography, Editor

WHAT:

Animation, Color Grading, Editing, Sound Design/Music Licensing

As any video production professional will tell you, much of the magic happens in post-production. Here, we’ll sculpt the footage gathered during production into a stellar final product.

HOW:

Farmore video post-production

Many people don’t know that the color of most footage is adjusted after filming - we don’t just leave it the exact way it was captured by the camera. Color grading is an art, and it’s one we have plenty of experience with - we’ll use state-of-the-art technology to ensure the color palette of your video represents the look and feel of your concept, and conveys your message effectively.

Cut

Everything that has happened up to this point has been on purpose, with the edit (and editors) in mind! Using professional editing software, transitions, and techniques, our editors will mold the captured footage into a stellar representation of your vision.

CUT:

Sound design
Music

SOUND DESIGN:

Sound design is an art - here’s where we’ll tweak any dialogue, background noise, and/or sound effects that are necessary for your video. This step guarantees everything comes through crystal clear and leaves a lasting impression on your audience.

As you probably know, music has the power to influence your mood and perspective significantly. Using our wealth of music licensing resources, we’ll find the perfect track to set the tone of your video. Once we’ve got both the music and other sound elements on the timeline, we’ll mix all the audio to attain the perfect sonic balance.

Animation

MUSIC & MIX:

Sometimes, the real world just doesn’t cut it. If your project calls for animation, we’ll add any necessary graphics, text, transitions - the list goes on.

ANIMATION:

STEP 07: FEEDBACK & FINAL CUT

THE FINISH LINE.

WHO:

You, Editor, Project Manager

WHAT:

Revisions, Delivery

Once our editors have a first cut (a draft, not a final product) of your video, we’ll send a copy for you to review using a review software which allows you to play back your video and make comments on any edits you may want in real-time - kind of like a Google Doc, but for videos. After you’ve given us your feedback, we’ll make the necessary changes and send you a second cut- which will be much closer to the final product. Once approved, we will export and send you the final high-resolution video(s) - ta-da!
